Economic & Taxation Committee

The Economic & Taxation Committee addresses issues of the electrical industry in areas of finance; implications of taxes; impact of Government policies on finance and Goods and Services Tax etc. The Committee also plays advisory role and provides guidance to other product divisions and members on the aforesaid subjects.

The Committee steers the pre-budget exercise and represents the IEEMA Pre-Budget Memorandum to the Ministry of Finance and other ministries in the Government of India. The Committee also represents IEEMA in Government-Industry consultative mechanisms and provides its suggestions to the Government agencies and the industry.

The present Chairman of the Economic & Taxation Committee is Mr. Anish Toshniwal, Assistant Vice President – Finance, RR Kabel Ltd and the Vice-Chairman of this Committee is Mr. Ajeet Pandey, GM- Taxation, KEC, supported by mentors from Larsen & Toubro Limited Mr. R. Anand Head – IR, Admn & Indirect Taxes & Mr. Pawan Kedia Vice President-Commercial from Genus Power Infrastructure Ltd. Senior officials from the Finance and Taxation Department of member companies who are nominated members of this Committee.
