On 13th July 2019, Bhubaneswar: Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturer’s Association (IEEMA) organised a session on Post Fani Restoration of Electrical Infrastructure.
The session was attended by senior government officials of OPTCL, CESU, WESCO, NESCO, SOUTHCO, OHPC, WAPCOS and Smart City Bhubaneswar. Mr. Hemant Sharma, Secretary Energy – Government of Odisha was the chief guest and Md. Sadique Alam, CEO – CESU was the guest of honour. Mr. Hemant Sharma shared the challenges of extreme weather and tough terrain managed by a large team of utility officials along with team of workers, who executed exemplary work and result. He appreciated how “IEEMA” and its members managed this critical situation and supplied equipment on war-footing.
Secretary Energy also spoke about the installation of ERS tower within a span of 39 hours and mentioned how would it be useful in any such future calamity.
Along with, IEEMA also organised the Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) between the State Utilities and Sellers across the country. Meetings were held between 30 buyers and 40 sellers. There were approximately 250 meetings held with a good scope of opportunities for the buyers and sellers organisation to address the short, medium and long term needs of Odisha for electrical equipment.
