· Decline continues in Q4 for Conductors, Insulators, HT Motors, AC Generators, Arresters
· Transformers production decline in Q4 by 3%; mainly Power TRF. By 6% – Is it due to CRGO issue?
· General sentiment across the division is No Respite visible for next 2-3 Qtrs.
· Overall Growth in Capacitor, Transformer & Power Cables is cyclical, post high T&D growth last year

· Actual Imports value of Transformers is estimated about Rs. 2,000 crs. including Imports through Projects under ITC Code 98010013 which is 20% of Domestic Industry
· Major source of Import: Sweden – for HVDC, China and Korea – 765 KV mostly
· AC Motors & HV Cables Imports has grown alarmingly high by > 60% mainly from Japan for AC Motors and UAE, UK & Kuwait for HV Cables.
· About Rs. 300 crs. & Rs. 400 crs. of Imports of Insulators & Cables observed through Project in FY13-14
