19th September 2018, New Delhi: A meeting was called by Mr. B S Bhalla, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, to have suggestions from the trade and associations on how to increase sector specific exports of India. Mr. Rajneesh, Joint Secretary, Mrs. Padma Ganeshan, Director, Department of Commerce, and representatives of IEEMA, ACMA, EEPC participated in the meeting. Mr. Vikas Khosla, Chairman, Public Policy Cell and Mr. Sunil Misra, Director General, IEEMA, along with a few members of International Business Division attended the meeting. IEEMA provided suggestions to the Department of Commerce, based on inputs received from members on the subject. Joint Secretary sought specific short-term and long-term action points of the Government in this regard, which is being provided by IEEMA.
